Uwem OKON has over 20 years’ experiences in the Information and Communication Technology Ecosystem, and over 15 years experience in the Microfinance sub-sector, as an ICT expert. He joined Aztec Microfinance Bank in May, 2023 and has played significant roles in driving the Bank’s Information Technology Infrastructure and Digital Banking Products.
He is a Full Stack (Front and Backend) Software Developer. Skillful on programming languages: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, C#, MySQL, Python and dotNet Programming.
Uwem has involved in development of Cloud Based Core Banking Application (CBCBA), Mobile Applications and Corporate Internet Banking (CIB) currently used across Microfinance Banks and Multipurpose Cooperative Societies in Nigeria.
Uwem is highly talented and gifted in Financial Technology Ecosystem, he’s an Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), a Certified Information System Auditor (CISA), a Member Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE), He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Aztec Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), and Certified Data Protection Officer (CDPO). He also an expert in Policy Development, Planning and Administration.
Uwem recently enrolled on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AIML) and Data Science courses to further improve his ICT skills. He is a Member Chartered Institute of Bankers (MCIB).
He is vast in business development with enormous experiences on payroll and microcredit administration. He’s exceptional in Internal Audit, Control and Compliance, Digital Finance, Strategic Planning, Development / Management and General Banking Operations.
